Which Health Care Plan is Right for You?

Which Plan is right for you?

The two plans offered by PEHT is Plan C and Plan F. The open enrollment process has a great graphic which explains the difference between the two plans. The largest major difference is that Plan F has a $1,500 deductible per person and Plan C has a $500 deductible. If you plan on getting more than just an annual exam this year, the deductible is what you will pay before the insurance starts to “kick in.” Once you have met your deductible, you will usually only pay about 20% of your bill as long as you stay in network.

For an individual, Plan F is $107 a month if you receive 12 pay checks, for a total of $1,284 a year. Plan C is $267 a month if you receive 12 pay checks, for a total of $3,204 a year. This means you will pay $1,920 per year and only have $1,000 less on your deductible. For this reason, I feel that Plan F is the best option for me, as a single woman with no children. Plan C may be better for you depending on your martial status and number of children.
